Mike was born in Florida, and after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a BA in Motion Picture Technology went to work for the Florida Film Festival, where he spent five years doing everything from selling tickets to acting as Program Director. During this time, he met Johnny Meah, who painted a banner for the festival. He finally left the low-paying, not-for-profit arts community to join the no-paying independent filmmaker community with his partners at Haxan Films. After much financial devastation, the Haxan guys got lucky with "The Blair Witch Project." Mike is currently working with his partners in crime at Haxan to produce "Heart of Love," a comedy.
